Why Isn't My Sims 2 Double Deluxe Working?

So I uninstalled it last night but now i want to reinstall it. When i insert it in my computer nothing pops up, and then when i use the run button and type auto run in, it wont work either, help mee!

If you have windows comp like me then go into the start section. click all programs. There should be a file called EA GAMES(Simsdoubledeluxe>sims2>EAGAMES) click on it... and it should put you into the install mode.

double click on the disc icon in my computer

see what that does
