Pavarotti's many appearances on television exposed viewers to an art they might have otherwise dismissed out of hand. His willingness to collaborate with singers and musicians from outside of
the supposedly cloistered world of opera made it clear that he was willing to take chances, to
experiment with different styles.
His natural warmth made him a huge audience favorite. He was a man who loved performing,
and his audiences sensed it and loved him back for it.
His natural talent could make you believe, in spite of his size, that he really was a starving poet
in "La Boheme".
