relationship or religion. what did the founder say?

When ever we hear about a Christian or a Christian Church we hear the word, Religion? Jesus specifically said He came to give us a relationship with God and hated religion. He told this to those in leadership in that present church. You make others more of a hell supporter than yourselves as you give so many commands that you cannot keep yourselves. Do you know you do not have a religion, if you have asked Jesus into your heart and believe what is said of Him by the Apostles? Steven, not an Apostle, when he was being stoned to death, said I see Jesus sitting by the father. The pain stopped and in seconds he was with Christ. Jesus promised we would be with Him in heaven, if we remain faithful.. This means if we make a mistake we honor the Word and claim 1 John 1:9. The Spirit said, if we claim we have no sin, then the Word is not in us, and we are a liar. But if we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive our sins and cleanse us from all unrighteousness. He was saying., He lived this life and knows what we go through.. He just asks us to try to obey the Word to our best. If we fail, go to Him and ask that we be forgiven. Do you see this, Christians? Are you forgiven or still under bondage to death from life lived? Earl

Update:

We know our own American Founders insisted that all religions be allowed free status and the freedom to speak their beliefs. Yet, 85% of those that signed the Declaration of Independence claimed a relationship with God through Christ. They did this to prevent any one belief to control by doctrine or force. You voted to not have choice, now you have it, again. The last Supreme Court decision on religion was to allow only one,, the Communist supported one. That is fact and you voted for them. Earl
