I think it's the thought of someone getting pregnant, aborting it, and then years later getting pregnant on purpose and having the child because they're "ready" at that point, which really rubs people the wrong way. If a woman gets an abortion she shouldn't be able to have children again. This generation is so entitled, parenting isn't about saying "No I'm not ready yet" because you're never going to be ready. You can't say, "Pause the pregnancy!" just like you can't say, "Pause at the age of 12, I'm not ready for the teen years!" or "Pause at 23 months, I'm not ready for the terrible twos!" It just happens. Whenever someone gets an abortion, they're taking away everything that could have been, and all the experiences that could have been given to that human.
But politics aren't based on emotion, they're based on logic (supposedly), and logically an unborn fetus will never know what he or she missed. So I'm not expecting abortion to be banned here.
And anyway, if every accidental pregnancy ended in abortion, imagine what the world would look like. I know tons of people who wouldn't be here.
