whom/who 使用時機

1. This is an era of specialists, each of whom sees his own problem and is unaware of or intolerant of the larger frame into which it fits.

2. A reward of five hundred dollars will be given to whoever can identify the bank robber.

問題是,第一句中的each of whom, 因為後面是sees his own problem,是主動的為什麼不能改用each of who呢?

第二句中的given to whoever後面是can identify以主動的形式,能不能改成whomever呢?

    1. This is an era of specialists, each of whom sees his own problem and

is unaware of or intolerant of the larger frame into which it fits.

    a) This is an era of specialists.

    b) Each of them sees his own problem and

is unaware of or intolerant of the larger frame into which it fits.

因為 Each of them 這句片語 的 them 是受位

This is an era of specialists, each of whom sees his own problem and

is unaware of or intolerant of the larger frame into which it fits.

    2. A reward of five hundred dollars will be given to whoever can identify the bank robber.

    a) A reward of five hundred dollars will be given to anybody.

    b) Anybody can identify the bank robber.------這裡的Anybody 是主位

A reward of five hundred dollars will be given to anybody who \ whoever can identify the bank robber.

    注 意 :

    whoever = anybody who

    你第一句是哪來的

    我覺得好像造錯了耶

    應該是

This is an era of specialists, (in which everyone) sees his own problem and is unaware of or intolerant of the larger frame into which it fits.

A reward of five hundred dollars will be given to (whoever can identify the bank

    robber).

所以whover 是 can identify the bank robber 的主詞,不能用whom替換
