How can I prevent this from happening again?

Last time I dunked my chocolate chip cookie into my coffee, half of it broke off and fell into my coffee, and ruined my day.

Well here I am again.

Cookie in hand, looking at my coffee.

How can one dunk and not lose one's cookie?

Update:

Chrysti-not dunking is not an option! >:O

The contract ideas are good ones, even if you don't have any intention of suing. Also, definitely contact your state funeral association, as another poster suggested. At the very least, this is an obviously unethical practice. In regards to giving the gowns to the hospital instead of the funeral home, definitely give a call to the Pastoral Care departments of any or all of your local hospitals. Someone there will be happy to help you! They may be very willing to accept the gowns on behalf of parents ans see that they reach their intended recipients for free, and they'll probably also be able to get the word out to many local clergy people that your group is offering this service. Many blessings...

Take a bite of the cookie, but don't chew, then a sip of coffee... same result, no loss of cookie satisfaction.... unruined day!

.....there are some cookies, that even if you hit them with a hammer or throw them to a wall, they won't break!!! lol

For the time, just eat the cookie separately and enjoy your coffee!!

    :) xx

On has to be quick of wrist... I once dropped a whole Hovis biscuit in my tea when I was visiting somebody... It left a nice puggy mess in the bottom.
