星路歷程：

擁有白人與黑人血統的Alicia，自小與母親兩人相依為命。5歲開始學習鋼琴、14歲嘗試創作寫曲，之後進入曼哈頓職業表演藝術學校主修和聲，除了接受嚴格紮實的古典樂訓練外，同時也練就了一副成熟自信的靈魂唱腔。在校成績優異的Alicia16歲便提早自高中畢業，經過複雜的合約爭奪戰，1999年Alicia正式簽下她的第一紙唱片合約。
