When do you stop doing sit ups?
Is it when you feel very sore, or just kind of sore, or not at all? I usually just do 100 situps and it is kind of sore, but it is usually gone the next day. Unless I run, then it comes back and hurts.

The goal should not be to get sore but to improve from one week to the next. If you can do 100 try to do more reps or add a weight like a dumbbell or weight plate to you chest.
Personally I would do both.
Week 1 - 100 reps body weight
week 2 - 100 reps with 5 lbs.
Week 3 - 120 reps with 5lbs.
Week 4 - 120 reps with 10 lbs.
Also mix it up by adding in leg lifts, planks and other ab exercises too.Source(s): Certified Personal Trainer
