will mod podge seal acrylic on glass?

i started painting portraits on glass jars. sadly, acrylic paint comes off very easily if scratched. will pod podge [a waterbase sealer] protect it, or will this also scratch/ rub off easily since i am only painting it on over top of the acrylic?

Try "water clear" polyurethane. It's a lot harder than mod podge and sticks well to most anything.

When using Acrylic paint, the rule of thumb is to stay away from anything water based (like mod podge). Water will ruin acrylic paint. For glass I would use a spray-on polyurethane. That's your best option.

It will help seal and protect up to a point. But glass is not an easy surface to get anything to stick to -- especially a curved glass surface like a mug or vase. Also the mod podge is water soluble and could be affected by heavy moisture later on.
