math question fish sample?

Biologist tagged 800 fish in a lake on Jan 1st. On Feb 1st, they returned and collected a random sample of 360 fish, 12 of which have been previously tagged. On the basis of this experiment, approx. how many fish does the lake have?

please help. i dont understand how to set the problem up?

    There are x fish in the lake, 800 of which are tagged. So the ratio of tagged fish is 800/x in the population. In the sample it is 12/360

    Thus 800/x =12/360 and so

    x= 800(360/12) = 800(30) = 24,000
