People who live near Central Texas can donate blood; check with your local blood bank about doing this.

If you do not live near Fort Hood, then I suggest that you wait for a week at least; because it is likely that the immediate needs are being met, but there will likely be some long term needs. It takes time to assess what is needed and how to meet those needs. Once the community has had time to figure out what is needed, then there will be ways to donate time or funds, and these things will be publicized.

If you do not wish to wait; then try one of these organizations:

Heart of Texas Chapter of the American Red Cross
