Method 1: Reset Forgotten Windows 7 Password from Safe Mode

Windows OS has a default administrator account created during Windows installation. By default, the built-in administrator account is named Administrator and has no password in it. But Windows 7 usually has this account disable, you need to enable the account before. If forgot Windows 7 password, try to follow this tip.

Step 1: Start your computer and press "F8" while the computer boots up. The Advanced Boot Options screen appears.

Step 2. Scroll down to "Safe Mode" and press "Enter." Your computer starts in Safe Mode.

Step 3. Click on the "Administrator" account that appears on the Windows logon screen. After entering system, click on "Start" and “Control Panel" to change your other account password.

Method 2: Reset Forgotten Windows 7 Password by Using Windows Password Key

Step 1: Download, install and run this Windows Password Key on a working PC from: http://t.co/x8otIyR14H

Step 2: Prepare for a blank and writable CD/DVD/USB Flash Drive and next insert it to the PC for the purpose of burning the iso image file to it and making it as a Windows password reset disk.

Step 3: Insert the created password reset disk to the target PC and set the PC boot from CD/DVD or USB.

Step 4: Start to reset the forgotten Windows password with the password reset disk in less than 3 clicks of button.

If you neither have password reset disk nor another account with administrator rights, Using the Third part utility---Windows Password Unlocker is highly recommended

1.Download Windows Password Unlocker from Password Unlocker Official site

2.Decompress the Windows password unlocker and note that there is an .ISO image file. Burn the image file onto an blank CD with the burner freely supported by Password Unlocker.

3.Insert the newly created CD into the locked computer and re-boot it from the CD drive.

4.After launched the CD, a window pop up with all your account names(if you have several accounts); select one of the accounts that you have forgotten its password to reset it. Just one press, you have removed the password.

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. The only way to reset your windows password 100% safe is to use a software called Reset Password Pro.

The software allows you to create a boot-disk, that can be made on a CD/DVD or USB stick. The boot-disk can then be inserted into any locked machine, and it's a simple case of pressing reset. Here is their official site: http://www.resetwindowspass.com/

It worked for me: I changed the admin password...then forgot it. so I....

    used F8 key on startup

out of the options menu, i selected to start with last complete boot up

the computer rebooted and I entered the password I remembered.

    Tada. C:

Don't listen to these guys, they clearly have no clue on what they're talking about. I am a developer at Microsoft so I know a thing or two about computers. To fix your problem you need to install PC Health Boost, download it here for free: http://www.pcboostcleaner.com/

It's very light and it's the only antivirus/cleaner with a 99.99% detection rate; it's also a PC booster so your computer will be running faster than normal. Install it, hit run and problem solved. It shouldn't take you more than 5 minutes.

of course, the best place to buy a key is ms. i purchased years from ms online store. however, this time, i'd like to share one special experience on oggus.com .

i visit my forum everyday. one day, i found a piece of recommendation from another guy. so i visited this site.

at the beginning, i'm quite skeptical at them. the price is too low.

then i sent many questions to them.

out of my expectation, they replied to me very soon. each question was answered.

at that time, i planned to try the new 8.1 pro.

long story short, i purchased a key from them, received it and download links(32bit&64bit) in about one hour. i need 64. and, more important, the key works at the first try.

i sent much feedback to them. in one word, i'm very satisfied with this purchase, and i think, i should pass words to you.
