BPA is short for Bisphenol A. Its full chemical name is 4,4'-(propan-2-ylidene)diphenol, and it contains the elements: Carbon, Oxygen and Hydrogen. It is produced by reacting phenol with acetone, to produce 2 phenol groups attached to an isopropyl chain.
