Pont du Gard near Nimes - it's a Roman aqueduct

    Pope's Palace - Avignon

St Benezet's Bridge - Avignon (famous in the song Sure le Pont d'Avignon)

Carnac and it's monolithic stone circles

    Mont St Michel

Major cities such as Lyon, Dijon, Bordeaux - all have medieval city centres

    Chartres Cathedral

Pyrenees - mountain range, sightseeing, hiking, skiing

    French Alps - as above

    Lourdes - great pilgrimage site

Arles - famous for it's Roman amphitheatre and other ruins, and Van Gogh the painter

    The Camargue

Chateaux (castles) in the Loire Valley

This list is just a few of the French tourist attractions, there are heaps more. Google that lot and you'll have plenty of information.

Verdun, France...by far probably the best city i have ever visited in france...

the history alone would blow your mind...it was a city decimated by both world wars, so a lot of the attractions are geared towards that...very powerful memorials, and a little known fact that it was once the gateway to the roman empire...

The D-day Normandy landing beaches and the assorted German defences(bunkers, u-boat pens, etc).

In Paris there are lots of interesting places you can go.

I would also like to recommend some places for vacationers.
