It depends on what she said in her letter. If she was just expressing her views then that's one thing. But her letter does seem to be a little bit hate full, esp since she claims that gays spread diseases and lead to the destruction of countries.

This woman has every right to not like gays if she feels that way, but why, if she doesn't like gays, was she at a gay parade passing out leaflets? You don't see atheists passing out pamphlets in front of churches do you?

"The letter went on to describe homosexuals as 'sodomites', said homosexuality had 'contributed to the downfall of every empire' and added that 'gay sex was a major cause of sexually transmitted infections'.

The letter went on to describe homosexuals as 'sodomites', said homosexuality had 'contributed to the downfall of every empire' and added that 'gay sex was a major cause of sexually transmitted infections'.

Also, homosexuals did not cause the downfall of countries, in fact, religion has made more countries fall than gay marriage. And worldwide, there is a higher amount of STD's transmitted through straight sex (like in Africa).

I don't think this lady is a bad person, just incredibly misinformed.

No. This was a bad overreaction from one newspaper.

    Note from the article:

And homosexual equality pressure group Stonewall has branded the authorities' response ' disproportionate'.

No. The first sign will be the closing of National Enquirer and the like.

No. There are no new prohibitions on speech. You can still say everything you could say last year and the year before.

1st they will crush FOX then they will move on to conservative radio. Then anything that challenges them will be crushed, then their "truth" will be taught in schools.

History repeats itself. And the libs will cheer and cheer when they don't have to hear anything they don't like any more.

Could be, but those people should be allowed to to demonstrate their religious inspired hatreds.

If Obama and his henchmen who are going after FOX have their way, it will be.

  • Only if you disagree with the new communist dictatorial government.
