This question sounds so stupid, but I do need some ducky birth control. I have five Mallard ducks--three drakes and two hens. I found out today while filling up their pool and, long story short, at least one of the hens will be a mommy soon. And I'm perfectly fine with that. But, the population will need to be...

There isn't a way to neuter a bird. But you don't have to let the eggs hatch, and they may not even be fertile in the first place. Also, if you remove them immediately after their laid, you can put them in the fridge and cook them up just like chicken eggs. Duck eggs are absolutely delicious. And so long as you remove them immediately, you can eat them even if their fertile (you don't want the baby to start to develop). Fertile eggs are very nutritious.

If it has testicles, they can be neutered. Might want to think of the cost and hazards involved for both you and the ducks. Personally, this is part of the reason why there is a hunting season. The duck population is shy high and can tear up out lakes in no time.

Don't even think about it. All you have to do when you have as many as you want, is to addle the eggs. You can take them away as soon as they are laid, since duck eggs are good eating. Or you can shake them vigorously to prevent the formation of an embryo and let her sit on them until she abandons them. If you don't trust shaking them, take them in the house, bring them gently to just short of a boil, cool back down and return to her. That will definitely assure that no embryo will form.
