looking for the instructions/tools to make traditional straw star ornaments?? I am looking for a store...?
I know there is one retailer based in germany....but I was hoping to find them in a store here i.e. Michael's, Joann's, or other craft store. Thanks :)

Are you looking for the finished stars, or for the instructions/tools for making them yourself?
If you want to make real "wheat weavings" yourself, here are some sites to check out (...for some reason, these are sometimes also referred to a "corn-somethings" but don't think the straw comes from corn??):
As for where to buy the straw, one person said "craft stores or local farmers." I'd also guess hobby stores might have some and basketry suppliers...or online of course.
The straw wouldn't have to be from wheat though.
I'd imagine that most any other tall "grasses" could be harvested (green, or dry then soaked) to create these kinds of shapes-weavings.
