    The founder of the Jesuits was Ignatious Loyola.

    They were missionaries, and at the time of the protestant reformation they participated in the inquisition.

    It was founded by a Spanish soldier by the name of Ignatius of Loyola - Inigo de Loyola. Look him up and you'll have your answer.
