why do some parents take out there dissatisfaction in life on their kids?

    I don't know. I think it is one thing to take it out on the stranger at the store looking at you but another thing to take it out on your kids. Especially if they did no wrong and you just had a bad day so lets just treat my child like dirt? I wouldn't do that to my daughter.

    It's the same reason that people take it out on their parents, their spouses, their bosses, their coworkers, on the guy checking you out at the grocery store and the waitress. It's because they are looking for scape goats in life. Suck it up. People do not owe you. And bad behavior, regardless of the excuse, is unacceptable.
