It varies by group and widely depending on the council

"For PHC sororities, the one time expenses are the new member and/or initiation fee, badge fee, and house donation. On average these costs total $555. The per semester expenses are dues, social, national fee, insurance, room and board (if living in the house), parlor fee (for those not living in the house), and meals (for those not living in the house). On average the cost to live in the house is $2100 per semester. This is a general estimate. Some organizations may have higher or lower prices. Please contact the organizations for their specific prices and fees.

For NPHC organizations, the expenses paid upon initiation may include the new member and/or initiation fee, pin fee, national, regional, and local dues, and a house fee. On average this cost is $550. Typically the inital fees cover national and regional dues for 3 years. The yearly expenses include dues, insurance, and can include national and regional dues. On average these costs total $150. This is a general estimate. Some organizations may have higher or lower prices. Please contact the organizations for their specific prices and fees."
