"They lined the streets, heads bowed in a remorquious stance."

"He responded rather remorquiously considering their violent history."

I have been dealing with thought of my father's imminent death, speaking with family members and close friends. There is always a solemn/respectful silence and gentility around and decided to give it a name. The things people say around the grieving, "oh, he is at peace now" a typical remorquious statement. Or the delicate hush of mourners before the funeral.
