Good question, I asked that myself.

Problem is, it would cause more problems, as we can see with Bush's stupid adventures in Afghanistan and Iraq.

This countries are lawless, and if you go in, you have to stay and nation build. This are not countries like Japan and Germany, where an evil dictator enslaved a highly civilized nation. The 60 or so bad countries we have today, including Philippines, Thailand, Iran, Iraq, Libya, Saudis, Afghanistan, N-Korea, Somalia, Zimbabwe, Haiti, Venezuela, Colombia....can't be all taken out by the USA.

We still have soldiers in the Balkans since 20 years.

What I do not understand however is, that the western powers secretly get a bunch of mercenaries together and clean up from behind.

Just get a bunch of trigger happy red necks and pay them 1 Million each if they survive. It would be cheaper then all the military we have and definitely more effective (No prisoners).

You can't fight this guys with a modern military with humanitarian aspects. They think its a sign of weakness. They will never gain respect for our military, as long as we cuddle the poor terrorists and pirates.

There is no easy solution. As we have seen with Cuba, Russia and Vietnam, leaving them to their own demise is sometimes the best way.

We should get our soldiers back, get on every freighter going past Somalia some seals with handheld missiles and leave countries alone.

Although when bullets start flying semantics don't mean a thing, we didn't actually go to war. We went in to protect the citizens against Aidid and his murdering of anyone that disagreed with his ideas. After his forces attacked the U.N. peacekeeping forces we sent in the Marines. When they were pulled out the Army went in.

Somalia problems affect only a smaller economy scale than the Middle East. Mainly there is little economical stalk to the world or US. This matter is second fiddle in the world of problems. US practices priority.

We did that in the 90s. It didn't turn out so well (the whole Blackhawk down thing). There's a lack of political will. Iraq and past experiences in the region have turned people in the West off of things like that.

They did that Bush got rid of the stable government over there as part of the war on terror because he didn't like their strict policies and now it is over run by pirates and terrorists.

Another successful example sticking of our noses in where it wasn't wanted.

What kinds of terrorist are you?

Since when and who gave you any right to invade other peoples country and murder them?

Are you one of those "chosen people", "master race" and "landlord of the world"?

well you see when you shoot an iraqi or afghan in the face the blood is only 5 percent likely to have aids where as if you shoot a somali in the face the chance is 30 percent... far too dangerous.

Source(s): don't take it serious I'm making stuff up again.
