Looking into buying a laptop...?

When looking into buying a new laptop (around $500.00), what should i be looking for in regards to processor type, processor speed, memory (RAM), and hard drive capacity?

What is good or ideal for my price range?

Thanks so much for any help!

well for that price range you would probly want three gigs of ram, at least a 160 gig hard drive and a lower end dual core processor, that may make you go over a bit tho, so you could sacrifice the dual core and go with a single as long as you aren't going to need the laptop to be useful past two or three years.

each one of us has preferences. the best thing for you to do is to go to a computer store, ask for their technical man and ask him for suggestion. you could explain to him what specs you like for your budget.
