Population density of either human or other species is studied so that we may control the population within its suitable capacity.(eg: optimum population capacity )

Because high population density may lead to environmental pollution and other ecological issues (high population of Agal undersea results in deficiency of oxygen in the sea)

The study of population density helps to provide space in a given area and also provide for the needs of people in the area to prevent overdependency
