Does anybody know how to rid your computer of the virus that looks like a Virus Detector?

It starts popping up with all of these "Threats" your computer has and then tells you you have to run the program and it will come up with 30+ viruses that have to be removed, but to remove them you must "Download their Full Version"...I tried system recovery but it won't go back. And Since my husband clicked "Run" cause he thought it was legit it now won't see it as a virus on my really virus scan to remove it. And It isn't in the programs/hardware/software to remove it from control panel. How do I get rid of this thing??

Also, It won't let me open up internet so I cannot download any of the software from online...I

It pops up before windows ever starts and shows "Saftey Center".

Then says "System Warning, Dear User, your system has been infected with multiple spyware programs. The security of your compurter might be in danger. You should consider using an antivirus to protect" (Which I have and no viruses show when I run it) Then after this whole warning it has a button at the bottom that says "I have read and understood this warning."

Update 2:

I am going to try to get some screen shots....

Update 3:

OK, when I try to go online it says

"We are sorry but your query looks similar to requests from a computer infented by viruses or spyware applications. Unfortunately, for the protection of our users, we are not able to proceed with your request at the moment. We will restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again later.

Meanwhile, if you suspect that your computer or network has been infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to makesure that your system is free of viruses and other mailcious software."

Please try the following:

-Make a full scan of your computer (Which I have done with My software and nothing came up) Click Scan Now- Internet Explorer will try to fnid and run the antivirus software.

-For more information about spyware protection, click the help menu and then click Contents and Index.

Update 4:

Update 5:

OK! I am getting kinda somewhere!

This is Safety Center.

And my only problem is how to get online to download the software to remove it...

This is what it does:

Safety Center will also hijack your Internet Explorer web browser so that when you visit web sites it will randomly show messages stating the web site denied your request because you are infected with malware. The message you will see is:

We are sorry but your query looks similar to requests from a computer infected by viruses or spyware applications. To protect our users, we can't proceed with your request at the moment. We will restore your access as quickly as possible, so try again later.

Meanwhile, if you suspect that your computer or network has been infected, you might want to run a virus checker or spyware remover to make sure that your system is free of viruses and other malicious software.

It will then display a link labeled Scan Now, which when clicked on, opens the Safety Center program.

Update 6:

This is pretty sad...My own father cannot seem to help, and he is a computer network engineer!!!!

He's only a couple states away but still!

Update 7:

Ok Yay Safe Mode is up and running and Malware is scanning...I will keep you posted...

My email is

It will be easier if you email me instead of me editing this question more and more. Thanks!!!!

Update 8:

I just wanted to say THANK YOU to all of you, it is gone!!! No more safety Center! Yay...Is there a blocker I should get so this doen't happen again?

    This will fix it (~_~)

Malware exorcism in seven easy steps

1.Download and run this free cleaner, choose "Select all" and "Empty selected".

2.Turn off your system restore! Right click on "My Computer and choose "Properties","System Restore tab",check the box "Turn off System Restore to all drives" and hit apply,Ok.

3.Go into "Safe with networking mode" by restarting your computer and hitting F8 repeatedly at reboot, when a black/blue screen pops up choose safe with networking.

4.Download Dr web cureit to your desk top.

(Note) If you can't download, do to your infection use another computer to download Dr web and BitDefender to a pendrive or burn it to a data CD and stick it in the infected computers USB/drive and copy & past the install apps to the infected computers desktop.

5.Unplug your either net cord or what ever you have to do to disconnect from the net.

6.Dbl click on the Dr web cureit app and install it and do a scan.(Don't worry about updating it) Select "Cure it" when it asks and "Delete" when it can't cure it.

7.Reboot into normal mode and download BitDefender free antivirus and install, update, and depending on time run either a "Deep System" scan which takes hours and cleans everything or a "System Scan" that takes minutes and will shut down most malware till you can run a deep scan?

When the scan is done delete/quarantine all entities it finds and your done.

(Note) Don't turn on "System Restore" till your sure your clean and everything is running ok.

(Watch this video on msconfig it will show you how to speed things up?)

It depends on which one you got. There are a few of these. The most common is "Windows Antivirus Pro." If you do a search for "<whatever the name of your infection is> removal" you should find a plethora of webpages that can help you. Otherwise, update your question with that information and I can help you.

Avast is one that you can consider. There's a free version available and it doesn't consume your PC's resources. I've been using it for up to 4 years and I've only experienced two infected file warnings.

UGH. If you're talking about the virus called Personal Anti Virus, then you're screwed. I downloaded that, as well, believing it was legit, and I had to take it in to a professional in order to remove the virus.

It wouldn't even allow me to run system recovery.

Click "Start" at the bottom left of your screen, then type the name of it into the "search" box. When it comes up from the search, right click each line then left click delete on each line. That's how I do it. Dont wasste your money on their program; there are lots of good free ones at
