Also a new branch of government was made to regulate and investigate corruption.

adding government to regulate and investigate government is like getting a cat to babysit the mice. it ain't gonna work.

the american people always depended on the Judaical and news media to keep them informed of the corruption and mis use of power. The Judaical is now controlled by the government by the buddy system and the news has been taken over by actors pretending to give us news but just reading sheets of paper put in front of them by news managers? and boy do they manage the news. The news is supposed to be unbiased and factual. Yeah right it sure ain't that. The reporters job is was to find the story, check the facts get them all straight and report the findings. Yeah right it sure ain't that way. they now give opinions not news.

so where would you say we go. we went to the internet and still it is hard to get the facts we need. but the internet is doing a better job than the tv or newspapers and mags

A more efficient Internal Affairs department would be nice, but I still don't think that strikes at the root of the problem. What lies at the heart of political corruption is money, and many politicians are tempted by it via lobbyists. What we need then is a market that is much more regulated and far less privatized. If this occurs, then lobbyists will lose much of their power, so there would be a great reduction in political corruption.

    oh, thats sweet, how innocent.

there is already law that stands, the constitution points out the People's responsibility when their politicians are corrupt. We can impeach...or we can go even further with an armed revolt and assign new guards. clean house, and hang (death penalty) all traitors.

It is the people who are ultimately responsible for watching congress, and we are to hold them accountable to the US Constitution if they legislate against it, or abuse tax dollars. The people are the master, the government is the servant. When it is the opposite, there is tyranny.

A new branch of government is unconstitutional. We must abide by the laws that are already in place. If we make more laws, then they can just be broken too. So whats the point? The point is to uphold the already existing laws.

possibly, its just, our country's politicians have became so corrupt, we would hardly have a government... i think our government will either improve over a long period of time, or crash more really quickly... well see within the next 1-2 years... if we arent dead by then, i think well pull out of everything despite the corruption our past politicians have created... or current ones. but every single investigation things like the cia, fbi, nsa... all of it is already corrupted... what would keep that branch of government from becoming corrupt? when power like that is given to people, it seems to be abused eventually nomatter what, if you set rules, theyll find loop holes eventually. so yeah....

Yes. The downside is, if we fired the corrupt, we would have no politicians left, and the new branch of government would soon become corrupt, and we'd go back to business as usual.

We have these systems in place already. Anyone proven to be corrupt is sent to prison. If you feel someone is corrupt, fine, but without absolute proof, you're not going to get a court date. You must have proof.

Wouldn't do anything. Need a much stuffer charge and penalty then just firing them. I personally like the charge of treason and grand treason where treason is long sentance prison time and grand treason is public execution. Also hold spouses accountable for lessor charges.

No because my nature people are corrupt in one way or another. You'd need to be a perfect human free of greed to enforce this.

there should be a new government organization to remove corrupt politicians!

but better yet with the technology we have today we don't even need politicians!
