First, understand grams and kilograms. Kilo means a thousand.
1 kg = 1,000 g
Next, let's convert all the data to the same units. We'll use grams(g).
So, .059kg = 59g (just move the decimal 3 places)
You now have 15.4g+203g+75.08g+59g = 352.8g (or 0.3528kg)
The same rules apply to liters(L) and milliliters (mL).
1.56L = 1,560 mL
1,560mL - 285.69mL = 1274.31mL (or 1.27431L)Source(s): Engineering background, college Calculus courses

1) do you understand a) significant figures, b) scientific notation, c) units?
It is like saying you have two bananas, a basket of oranges and a bag of apples. How many do you have?
that is an impossible question. how many oranges in a basket?
how big is the bag, how many apples?
do you want to know how many of each? how many pieces of fruit? or how much fruit salad can you make?
In Q 1 you are asked about weights, k is 1,000 and all the units are g, grams. the answer must be in grams
q 2) is about the volume of liquids, L is Liter (about a quart)
and mL is 1/1000 Liter
a cube, 1 centimeter on a side is almost exactly one milliliter
a 10 x10 x10 cm cube is 1000 cm almost 1 Liter.
You do the rest
