my friend is in the navy seals. Do they have a high death rate?

    well he's probably lying to you, but we've been losing on average about one a season since 2001

    It's a relavtive question. There are a lot of things that can influence the decision like training, amount of seals, type of mission etc.

    High is a relative term. They have an extremely small community compared to conventional units. Considering what they do and how many there are in the Teams that's also subjective.

    Only a handful were killed in the entire Vietnam War, and a few of those were due to accidents.

    Five or six died in one day in Afghanistan a few years back, so I am not sure what the deal is with them now.

    It is hard to say, the SEALS do work as teams. Again it is hard to say

    Nope. That's why they are so good at what they do. They watch each others backs and do their job.
