Teen Room Decor Ideas?

I am moving into an apartment soon so i need ideas on room designs. All new everything, bed sheets, desk, dresser, bed board. All that good stuff, minus the wall painting. I am not the pink frilly pattern foo foo girl, i like plain white sheets, simple and clean. Cool funky light fixtures and all that good stuff. Anyways its a pretty good sized room, not small an the carpets are a brand new white.

    These are the best sheets in the world. They are super soft .http://www.garnethill.com/jump.jsp?itemID=6492&ite...

    Here is more bedding. There is nothing nicer than an all white bed :http://www2.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6.aspx?ItemTyp=G&ite...

    Here is a great idea for a head board. If possible, move up to a full sized bed. You can pick the color you like best :http://www2.jcpenney.com/jcp/X6E.aspx?DeptID=57087...

    I think a mirrored chest of drawers would look great next to your bed.

    Good luck. have fun decorating

    heres an idea. paint the walls your dreadful brown or tan and then do a stripe about 3 inches up blue. add another one at the top in the same size with a smaller one about 1 inch wide right under it. Then using old lockers or pottery barn furnature give the room lots of color and metal. It stands up to teenagers constant beatings and will look good no matter what. Of course if it were me id let the boy do what he wants, its only paint and you can always ( and he will most surely agree to) shut the door when company comes over.

    Try Pottery Barn Teen (www.pbteen.com) online or pick up a catalog from the mall. They have great ideas. Also there are several decorating sites. Take measurements of your new place and identify window and door placements so you can plan your decorating according to scale and space availability.

    With white carpet you better get rugs down to keep it that way!Plus they could add some color to the mix...

    Find a window treatment that will be to your liking,and include sheer panels to allow light inside too...if ya have a window..=)

    Pick 3 colors to work with...a main color,trim or highlight colors and a color to add some contrast or punch...Like these combo's;

    Light blue,tan & white....punch color = orange or yellow

    Sage green, beige & pastel yellow...punch color = purple

    Soft burnt orange, brown & black....punch color = red or burgandy

    Lavender,light green & white....punch color = royal green

    If you're not allowed to paint, I really like this idea: http://rosslyn.uppercaseliving.net/Home.m

    I have a white guest room and I got a phrase from here that says "Welcome" in silver. It's really cool and it's removable since you rent.

    Good luck!
