Am I banned from xbox live??

When i went to matchmaking for halo 3 it said

You need a xbox LIVE membership and PERMISSION TO XBOX LIVE?

I can understand the membership but why did it say permission.....

and my network was LOCOL what does that mean???

BY THE WAY I HAVE SLIVER MEMBERSHIP AND IS THE SOLOUTION??

OKAY I KNOW YOUR GUNNA SAY GET GOLD MEMBERSHIP..... BUT WHY DOES IT SAY I NEED PERMISSION???

WHATS THE SOLOUTION AND I DONT KNOW THE EMAIL I USED TO MAKE MY GAMERTAG!!

    local means you will only play with people on YOUR Xbox

    you cant play with people on xbox live if you have silver, you need to pay for gold

    it is just another way of saying you need gold

    buy gold with a credit card or in a store, you dont need your email but you can always find it on your xbox, in your profile
