    I find the Dalai Lama the most deserving, for unceasingly inspiring and spreading the message of peace, compassion and respect all over the globe, in spite of the tragedy of his own country.

    I won't appoint a least deserving, but I do note there a number of recipients that as political leaders aren't exactly primarily associated with peacefulness - although they of course received it for taking specific important steps towards peace (however frail and sometimes later failed, like the Middle East recipients in 1994).
