KCMO? I'm in KCMO too. Unusually large spiders are actually the least venomous. The little critters are the ones you have to worry about. It's probably a wolf or garden spider. Just let it walk on a plate and take it out doors or out of your apartment if you live downtown like the rest of us.
If you get bitten by a garden, it'll just hurt a lot.
If you get bitten by a wolf, it'll hurt a little and make you sick.
If you get bitten by a bird eater, it will also hurt a bit and make you sick.
If you get bitten by a Recluse, your skin will decay horribly and possibly cause permanent damage.
If you get bitten by a Widow, you are screwed unless you make it to a hospital.
If you get bitten by a Jumper, you will hardly even notice the bite. It's like a toned-down version of a mosquito bite.
If you get bitten by a Long-leg, you're instantly dead. Ironically, they can't bite you because their mouths are too small and your skin is too thick.
I love spiders. Gotten lots of bites, too. Luckily, only the big ones get me.
