Do you think the real reason behind the IOC's rejection of Chicago is.....?

that were afraid they would be "out-corrupted" by the Chicago gang? The IOC is no angel, and is rife with corruption. Did they eliminate Chicago because after those thugs got done stealing, there would be nothing left for the IOC pockets?

Nope....bozo has no friends. HE LIES and never keeps a promise. They know that AMERICA has serious money problems and are further in debt than any other country in the world. They are afraid of lies and failure...which bozo does a LOT OF! They also know his priorities are way off. He ignores the military and thinks the Olympics are more important. They are afraid the Olympics are just the "flavor of the day" for bozo to boost his failing populuarity......they know he is not serious!

Kruger and Ellerbe were defensive players that were being groomed for they future. While Dumervil is a decent pickup, Kruger will likely outperform him. Huff was bad in Oakland, and there's no reason to think he can at all compare to Ed Reed, even an aging Ed Reed. While I love the Ravens draft picks, there's no way you can expect them to step up and immediately replace the sheer number of quality players the Ravens lost. And that's not even talking about their offense, which lost Boldin. Neither Jacoby Jones or Torrey Smith are the big, physical target that Boldin is, and they're going to miss his physicality this year. Flacco got hot at the right time, but the Ravens are banking on his ability during the last 4 games of the season, not the first 4 years of his career. That's likely going to be the worst mistake of all. All that said, the Ravens drafted as well as ever, and should be set in a year or two. Just don't expect them to make the playoffs this year. Rookies need time to adjust.

No. The main reason is because there was some opposition by the citizens. The IOC never likes to put the Olympic games in an area where they are not wanted by all of the population.

This is SUCH an OBVIOUS case of racism, ONCE AGAIN, against not only the Obamas but Oprah too!

Jesse Jackson and Al Sharpton should be on the next plane to Copenhagen to rally people against the IOC!

I mean, what other possible reason could there be since our greatest President, since imaginary reasons for greatest, made the pitch personally made the pitch? Don't these ignorant potential undocumented workers know what they have done?

Our Administration will NEVER offer them free government health care, much less yummy government chesse!

    Answer terrorism,

The world does not want to appear to support western aggression into the Middle East. Terrorist philosophy is that if anyone supports the “Evil Jewish Empire” they are guilty of crimes against the holy land. Personally, I also believe that the IOC just wants to show America that it has power over it. To me the IOC does not matter because the Greeks started the Olympics; therefore, the Olympics should always be in Greece.

It's a very possible reason, because the IOC is indeed as corrupt as the day is long, but Chicago does corruption like no one else can match.

It might also have something to do with Chicago being one of the most dangerous cities in America.(Guess that Handgun Ban is working for them too, since I believe they had 510 murders in 2008)

Just maybe the rest of the world didn't hate Bush and love Obama.

Just maybe they hate that we are not (yet) a socialist country that their citizens can point at and say "boy would that be great to live somewhere that you can be successful and not have the government take it away".

one can speculate on the reasons why but it will do no good, the IOC decided and that's that. The saddest thing, though, will be all the negativity that will be hurled at obama, blaming him.

I saw the other places competing and thought "this is going to be tough" against Tokyo and Rio.

They had it in Los Angeles and it went just fine - why would anybody think Chicago would be different, unless you are a slobbering, brainwashed FOX TV drone.
