30th Birthday in New York, Any Ideas?

I am beginning to plan a trip to New York for my boyfriend's 30th in May. Neither of us have ever been. Where should we stay? What are some places we should definitely visit? Any other tips or advice?

    How about the Sea Grill?

At the Sea Grill, you are on eye level with the skating area at Rockefeller Center but it won't feel the same in May and it would be in the Winter.

Look to the right (in the video) and you will see skaters zipping by.

Hello, allow me to rec. "LIPS" ... its a drag restaurant/show. The food isn't good, but if you want a good laugh and a mini drag show...its the place to hit! There are thousands of good restaurants..but check out "ninja" i think you can Youtube it. As for the hotel...if its your first time i would rec. something in mid town. It may be a bit more $$$ but the majority of all the tourist sights are there ( radio city, broadway, time sqr, shopping 5th ave. etc) advice:..just have fun..its NY anything can happen. Hope this helps :)

take the tours buses and cruises while you still can. The colder weather makes it more difficult to enjoy. try this site, it has the blue bus and all the boat rides and other cool stuff.. http://www.citysightsny.com/
