Those who desire socialism in the US, do they achieve "change", incrementally, in steps?

Is the goal of those who want socialism for the USA, achieved in little steps? All the while claiming they do not advocate socialism- little by little, step by step by step by step towards socialism, they deny it. Why?

Do liberals believe they are absolutely no socialists within the democratic party, as if they don't exist at all?

Do socialists simply not exist within the USA but are widespread in every other country in the world?

If socialism is so wonderful, why do their advocates deny their ideology?

socialism can only be achieved in little steps. as seen with the healthcare debacle... when you try to enact major change that makes huge strides towards socialized medicine, the citizens revolt because they don't want it.

If you were to enact the same changes, just incremental over time, you could achieve the same goal with much less turmoil because it would be easier to hide.

Fact is, we have the best gov't and economical structure the world has ever seen..people from all over the world want to come here because of how good this country is, the freedoms it offers and the idea that anyone can make it if they work hard enough. Socialism would destroy all of that and turn us into everything our forefathers sacrificed to get away from.

Maybe b/c were not socialist. It sounds like you're agnst social security. Are you going to take care of your poor grandma? What about when you get into a car accident and cant work for six months. I hop someone left you an inheritance. Better hope none of your kids are born with serious defect, disable children are quite expensive to take care of, better a get third job to hire a therapist and full time nanny.

We don't want a socialist economy. We just don't believe that healthcare should be for profit. If you don't see anything wrong with health insurance being one of the most lucrative ventures in the world and them paying over a million dollars a day to derail health care reform, there's some thing wrong.

It's not a matter of socialism; it is a matter of slavery. There is a two-headed dragon that has been lingering over our society since the 1930's. It's name is the bipartisan system: it is controlled by the bankers of this country.

"For more than a century ideological extremists at either end of the political spectrum have seized upon well-publicized incidents such as my encounter with Castro to attack the Rockefeller family for the inordinate influence they claim we wield over American political and economic institutions. Some even believe we are part of a secret cabal working against the best interests of the United States, characterizing my family and me as ‘internationalists’ and of conspiring with others around the world to build a more integrated global political and economic structure – one world, if you will. If that’s the charge, I stand guilty, and I am proud of it." -David Rockefeller, from his own book, Memoirs.

in case you're already undesirable than why might you guard a device which you're no longer valuable in. wealthy human beings getting richer at the same time as working type human beings get poorer isn't valuable capitalism neither is it ethical. working type everybody helps decrease paid workers in this united states of america via subsidies and information at the same time as companies are making billions--occasion: automobile industries workers many of the providers now pay below ten funds an hour, Walmart workers, production workers, production, and repair sectors all pay the final public of their workers under the poverty point. something human beings undesirable saps that make an outstanding living are helping those undesirable working type human beings at the same time as the executives and vendors are making a killing.

  • Those who believe in Socialism deny their ideology because of people like you and Glenn Beck who have made "Socialism" the equivalent of a four-letter word in the US. Do you believe that Fascists don't exist within the Republican party?

If liberals are "Socialists," then does that make Conservatives "Fascists"?

10 Steps towards Fascism by Naomi Wolf:

1.Invoke a terrifying internal and external enemy. GW Bush - Iraq

2.Create secret prisons where torture takes place.

    GW Bush - Abu Gharib

3.Develop a thug caste or paramilitary force not answerable to citizens.

    GW Bush - Blackwater

4.Set up an internal surveillance system.

    GW Bush- Warrantless wiretapping

    5.Harass citizens' groups.

    GW Bush - PATRIOT Act.

6.Engage in arbitrary detention and release.

    GW Bush- Abu Gharib

    7.Target key individuals.

    GW Bush - Valerie Plame

    8.Control the press.

GW Bush - mislead the press and public into supporting war in Iraq.

9.Treat all political dissidents as traitors.

GW Bush- after 9/11 any criticism of Bush Administration policies were "unpatriotic."

    10.Suspend the rule of law.

    GW Bush- suspended Habbeas Corpus.

As a registered active Democrat I have always publicly proclaimed my preference for a Social Democracy. You shouldn't generalize! Are you confusing Social Democracies with communism, seems so.

Yes, and all the while they indignantly proclaim that, "you don't even know what socialism is." They insist on a definitional purity that seeks to disclaim any discussion of incrementalism, by insisting that "socialism" can only refer to government's total ownership of the means of production. This tactic, of course, does not advance the debate, but seeks to discourage it.

Here's McCain himself saying Obama is not a Socialist.

Socialist leaders around the world say that Obama is not a Socialist. Only people that don't like Obama say he's a Socialist as a way to scare people.

Slippery slope arguments are always flawed. Here's an example: Cons secretly want to exterminate all gays. That's why they want to ban gay marriage, ban books with gay characters in schools, ban gay characters from TV. Those are just the first step in their plan to murder millions of their fellow countrymen. Why don't they just come right out and admit their plans?

Do you see the flaw in your reasoning now?

Socialism is achieved through steps of cooperation, not deception. That is authoritarianism.
