    Lincoln: March 4, 1861 - April 15, 1865

    Secrteary of State - William Seward

    Secrteary of the Treasury - Salmon P. Chase, served 1861 - 64; Lincoln appointed him to the US Supreme Court in 1864. He was replaced at the Treasury Department by William P. Fessenden, who served less than a year and resumed his US Senate seat. The third and last Secretary of the Treasury was Hugh McCukkoch, who coninued in the office under the Andrew Johnson administration.

    Secretary of War 1) Simon Cameron served 1861 - 62. 2) Edwin M. Stanton, who served from 1862 until 1868, when he was dismissed by President Andrew Johnson.

    Attorney General - 1) Edward Bates served from 1861 - 64; 2) James Speed who served from 1864 - 1866.

    Postmaster General: 1) Montgomery Blair served from 1861 - 64 2) William Dennison served from 1864 - 66.
