Did doctors know what Leukemia was in the 70s and was it diagnosed often?

    Yes they did know what leukemia was in the 70s. They actually started doing bone marrow transplants in that decade. The documented deaths from leukemia fell in the 70s by a significant margin. And in the 70s, incident rates for hodkins were doubled.
