Do you agree with obama that health care reform is the defining struggle of this generation? Why or why not?

Also by stating this today at the University of maryland wasn't he just singing to the choir?

yes, it is the struggle of a generation.

I suppose health care is but the tip of the iceberg. I predict a contentious four years, over which the Republicans will regain the Senate, the House will be evenly split, and Obama will end up a wildly unpopular President with interest rates topping 20% and massive government debt.

Few will be able to afford a home or even a new car, retirement savings will once again plummet with a falling stock market...but, heh...we will all have health insurance, even if you must wait an extra month or so to get an appointment with your doctor.

The only struggle we are having is the one created by Obama and his communist, eugenics supporting administration. The health care reform is just the tip of the iceberg, lots of things are hidden below the surface. AMO it is a bad situation we have coming in the next month or so, they will use this flu scare to push health care Thur. Once they start injecting us with the squaline, mercury Laden vaccines we will all be needing health care. LOL!

Not: This is just one more corporate struggle in a long line of them, hidden yet again behind claims of supposed concern for the average citizen. If Obamacare passes, the pharmaceutical industry will make kazillions off all the increased treatments and prescriptions and procedures and on and on. They own Obama so he pushes what they say to push.

no its not i think health care should stay the way it is, i mean giving people un deserved health care is wrong, im not republican but its like giving sum1 a raise at an office for just sitting there and looking out the window, cause come on left boys we all no whos the care would go to ppl on wellfare and things. and wellfare is the most ridiculous thing ever i mean most ppl on wellfare dont even work. I think they should get ppl who are on wellfare a job before they give them stamps....

The defining legislative struggle of this political generation perhaps. But that's considerably narrower.

One political generation ago, the defining legislative struggle was the patriot act and related legislation. Political generations aren't that long and you don't have to agree with a goal to agree it is the defining struggle. I certainly don't agree with the patriot act and related legislation.

Nah. But he likes to go where he is already liked to spout off. Wonder why you never see him in Texas or anywhere in the South for that matter. He so insecure he's got to have the audience cheering mindlessly instead of asking questions.

It's certainly the most hotly contested debate of his presidency so far. And it has a chance to affect more people than anything else currently happening. I guess it depends on where you draw thresholds on a "generation".

Disagree - Whether or not we allow him to take our country down the road of socialism or communism is far more important. Healthcare is just another brick on that road.

because before he got into office it needed to be done but it wasn't urgent.the only reason he is making it out to be so urgent is because he and the dems want control
