Why does my car rumble?

I have a rumble in my car that is felt throughout the cabin. I feel it mostly on my brake and gas pedal as well in my seat. I dont feel it in my steering wheel. It is slightly worse when i have my foot on the brakes. It doesnt make a sound it just rumbles. I have recently replaced my air and gas filter. I really dont feel any difference in the way my car drives except for a slight hesitation when accelarating. I have a 90 lumina 3.1L. I have recently changed my oil and added 5w 30 with a bottle of heavy oil and my car has been different since then. my gas mileage has decreased slightly. Can the oil be too heavy and do this? Also, just to point it out.. my exhaust broke right before my cat and is just kind of tapped together and clamped for now until I fix it tomorrow. I also dont hear any hissing cause I thought maybe a vacuum leak. My engine pings slightly when I turn the car off.
