how do you adjust the transmission shift point on 86' k1500?

Question

I have an 86 k1500 with 6.2L diesel. It has a trans with no overdrive. Does not shift until 25-30 mph. How do you adjust the shift points?

thats shifted by detent cable and mechanical governor/hard to adjust

it should have a modulator on it. make sure that it has good vacuum pull the vacuum hose off at the modulator and adjust it with a pocket flat tip screwdriver inside where the hose goes turn it clock wise and it will shift later counter clock wise and it will shift sooner. Or a kick down linkage which has a adjustment slot make the linkage longer and it will shift later shorten it will make it shift sooner
