Flushing out water lines?
We have a cabin with water lines coming up from a well and we want to see about flushing out the water lines. What would be a good, safe solvent to use to flush out the lines? Vinegar, baking soda and water?

Pour 1 cup liquid bleach (clorox) into a 1 gallon bucket of water. Go to well and remove well cap, pour bleach/water solution into well let stand overnight.
Run hot/cold water in all sinks, showers, tubs, and other faucets for 1-2 minutes each.
This chlorine will kill any/all bacteria in the well and the water lines.
The solution is not strong enough to harm you, your skin.
Don't use water for 2-4 hrs. after you open all faucets up, but let water/bleach mixture sit in water lines and faucet valves for 2-4 hrs.
Then use as normal.
Repeat every 3-4 months if cabin is not used frequently.
