new DIFFERENT alternative bands like the fray?

Question

i'm looking for some really good alternative bands, that maybe aren't the most popular ones. i love everything by the fray, 3 doors down, and softer alternative music (not like people screaming into the mike with crazy electric guitar and drums).

i already know about bands like jack's mannequin and forever the sickest kids....i wanted something a little different than what everyone listens too.
