I sadly, since my period has come back after nursing for the last year, have this problem every month. The days I ovulate I have horrible cramping, actually thought I had a kidney infection for the first time this happen, then once the cramping starts to lessen, the lower back ache starts and lasts me about 2 days.

I truly hope this is not the case for you and that you are actually pregnant... good luck to you!
