If you owe the IRS taxes, will your tax rebate check be intercepted?

My boyfriend says he ows the IRS around $400 but he says he thinks he'll still get his tax rebate check. I disagree, I think they'll take it. Does anyone know for sure?

Yes, they will take it. I used to work for an accountant. They will do the same for any back-owed child support.

You are right. They will take it. They aren't going to give him money if he owes them money.
