Why do Audio Engineers use Macs instead of PCs for recording?

Not all of them do, there are even a few engineers that don't use computers at all when they record. Steve Albini is one noteable engineer I can think of that still records on tape exclusively.

Many engineers also use PC's. I feel it lies more in personal preference than anything. Anybody can say one is better than the other, but it will never be proven either way and everyone is just going to use what they like or what works best for the application at hand.
