What are some conversation starters while talking to boys?

Ok, what are some conversation starters to start with when talking to a 13 year old boy? I have allot of trouble finding out what to say. I usually sit there trying to think of what to say or start off with. So can you help me?

well if theyre on a sports team ask them how their last game went or when their next one is. or compliment them on sumthing theyre wearing but be honest dont compliment sumthing u dont actually like.

Ask about their day

What their fav band is

If they do any after school clubs

Where they hang out at lunch

Say: what is you're fav song then straight after say mine is 'blah blah blah' by ' blah blah blah' this will give them some time to think..

D'yu like sport?

Do you have Facebook/Instagram/snapchat?

What did they do at the weekend

If they did the homework

Ask them if they have a drink, say "I'm so thirsty d'yu have a drink"-this is kinda cute..
