How come "Stay Black" is not racist, but, "That was mighty white of you" is?
I've wondered this for awhile. Anyone here with any douchebag preppie white friends has heard the phrase, "Mighty white of ya". I don't think a person on this planet has not heard the phrase, "Stay Black"

Update: SteveC - I GOT to stay black. I don't have much choice in the matter. Word life.
Update 2: Patio of Fun - I'm sorry. Would I be given more credibility if I were rocking a doo rag, a size XXXL white T and sagging my pants down so far you can see the bottom of my boxers?
Maybe I could have taken the picture holding my junk and throwing up a dubb?
"Stay Black" is more like an empowerment thing. Like, "let's all stick together etc". But when you say something like "Mighty white of you" it's more like your saying that the person was acting in a certain way that was stereotypically white.
I just got an email from Steve C asking me to move in with him...WTF?
anyway, I have no preppie white friends. I have NEVER heard "Mighty white of ya"...I have however heard on occasion, "Gah, Abi, you is sooo white sometimes!" To which I usually reply, "Well, DUH, Honey."
No clue why either would be racist.
*scratches head, rather clueless*

i will agree that there is a double standard when it comes to certain things. i, and i am starting to believe u, speak out against all racism and are able to more fully recognize and comment on this double standard. normally i would not engage in this type of conversation because i feel that most white people r racist and only ask these questions to somehow prove their ridiculous opinions about black people. i tend to side with the black community on this website and generally speak out against the ignorant white folks. i always correct my black friends when they say "u aint white," because i think that says to other people that u cannot possibly be white and be a decent person. truth be told i am actually a very conservative right winger. i voted for pat buchanan and very much disapprove of Obama!!!!
