我現在知道第一句加逗點是為了加強語氣。但第二句也有人說the public是 are meant to deceive 的受詞,and do for a time deceive是名詞。
那 by puffing worthless goods 前面是省掉 which嗎?還有or在這句是不是當對等連接詞呢?我還是有點不懂...
