please help me with open and closed syllables , i've searched the web and it only a few examples or a very brief .explanation i need a very good and long one please , i have a huge test on it but my teacher and previous teachers never explained it to me. yes i am retarded and stupid thank you , but please help

    An open syllable ends in a vowel and the vowel is long

    Group 1

    she, I

    me, he

    Group 2

    the 1st. syllable in these words:

    open

    apron

    university

    Arab

    abide

    alight

    A closed syllable is a one syllable word, ending in a consonant. It has only one vowel and that vowel sound is short.

    Examples are
