Does tribal warfare count before a nation is recognized? Because even the small Pacific islands nations that have sprung-up over the last 20 years have had some sort of violence in their history, it's hard not to since humans are tribal and territorial by nature.

BTW: Canada has been in many wars.

I do believe Sweden has remained neutral for around 250 years, but I am not sure if there is a country that never had a war. Perhaps, some small island...

um....for the people who said Australia has never had war on their soil, how about Japan bombing Darwin, and there was also prisoner of war camps here, do your homework, every country has had conflict!!

Well, if you mean at any point in their history (even before their current name) - then I'd say none.

However...if you just meant current countries, perhaps Switzerland ?

Australia has had involvement in wars, but it has never been on their own soil. So maybe that counts.
